At =camerawhore we have challenges and contests to push you in your photography. We only accept submissions for our challenges and contests, no random submissions please.

Monthly Challenge Rules
DEADLINE Every month we will have a new theme for our challenge. Deadline for entries will be the 21st of each month. Voting will then proceed until the end of the month.

You may use any photo in your gallery for Monthly Challenges, they do not have to be new!

One Word Challenge Rules
We will be hosting one word challenges throughout the month, and these will be posted on our journal entries and in our journal shoutboard.

All one word challenges MUST BE NEW WORK uploaded the month of the challenge.



Rules for Challenge Submissions

1. There are no restrictions on category, subcategory, or image size so long as your entry fits all rules set down by deviantART staff for photography. Tasteful nudity is accepted.

2. All entries are submitted at this time through notes as THUMBS. Even if you aren't a subscriber, you can still send thumbs through notes. For the Monthly Challenge, you should put "Monthly Challenge" in the subject line. For one word challenges, put "One Word Challenge" in the subject line so we can tell your submissions apart.

3. You may only submit ONE entry per challenge.

4. You are allowed to enter your own manipulated photos, but the original photo must be yours. Editing someone else's photography or stock photos for your entries is not allowed in this group, and if discovered you will be ineligible to enter any contests for 6 months.

5. The winning entry for the Monthly Challenge will be featured on our journal for the following month, as well as a news feature at the end of each month. All submissions for that challenge will be included in the news feature. Mini-challenge winners will be given a spot on our journal sidebar until the next winner is chosen.

NOTE: When you submit a photograph to =camerawhore we will be using the Collection system of keeping up with your submissions. You do not have to thank us for "favoriting" your work, as it was your own submission to our club!

Joining the Club
Let's make our new members feel welcome by giving them a visit to their galleries and commenting on at least ONE piece of work! You can find our member's list by checking out our Watchers!

1. Please have photography in your gallery before you join!

2. To join, simply add us to your devWatch! It's that simple! Our Watchers list is our Members list!

3. Once you have joined, please put the =camerawhore name into either your signature, or the name or icon within your journal, so that we can get the word out to others. Both is acceptable too!

Our Community

This is a "community". A community of photographers, who wish to be challenged monthly in both ideas and technique, a place for us to help and support one another, and cheer one another on. In community spirit, this is what I wish to see from our members.

Visit every new member's gallery and comment on their featured photograph (or at least one of your choice).

Visits to each other's galleries. Well thought out comments, as we establish relationships with one another.

Comments on every submission that is given for the challenges. When you comment on a camerawhore member's piece, you could end your comment with something like "Found you through =camerawhore" or "From a fellow =camerawhore"
