I noticed that ~LegacyMoon had beautiful moon shots in her gallery, so I asked her to tell us how she gets such beautiful shots! Here it is...
ORIGINAL located here: [link] Photo and Write-up Provided by It has been my passion and obsession to take shots of the Moon. I use a Canon Rebel XSi with the basic 75-300mm Lens. A lot of people keep their cameras on AF, or Auto Focus, I've found I do better with Manual Focus because I have more control. I set my mode dial to TV, My ISO is on 1/200, and I have been fortunate enough to get the shots I have gotten. A lot of people use a slower speed, and self time and or remote control with the use of a Tripod. I don't use any of that I just adjust my lens and shoot! I have only had my camera for a few months and haven't been able to get any Summer Moon shots yet here in Montana but You will be seeing a lot of those come Summer Time. The best advice I can give anyone on Moon shots is don't give up....keep trying, because they aren't easy to get but if you take a deep breath before you shoot....you should do just fine! And have fun doing it! ~LegacyMoon For more info on shooting the moon see these articles: [link] [link] [link] |
